Penelope Lanaux arrived December 27, 2010 at 4:55 am. She rode in on the tail end of a snow storm, and we rode ice sheets in our rapid trek to the hospital. While this doesn't count as the official birth story (which I am hoping to pen later tonight), I couldn't wait to share some of the images from the first leg of our adventure.
Much, much, much more to come. Including a delivery story that does not include a doctor, and perhaps, a new land speed record for pushing.
Uncle Clark & Daddy rocking the pink shirts in little lady's honor.
6 hours after arrival and we are all still awake... with excitement.
Penelope meets Dude.
Daddy-Baby snuggle time has begun.
Our icy view. Note: no plowing, only sand. We skated in hours before.
Her first picture- Penelope is a stunner!
Taken on the ride in- during mid-contraction. That's true dedication to documentation. There was no asphalt, only solid ice and snow. 10 inches to be exact.

She's beautiful and I am sure worth every bit of the slippery ride to the hospital and quick checkin at triage!
Maybe you won't have to pay the doctor for the delivery!
You all look so happy!
What a beautiful little girl! Anna, you look amazing, I wouldn't believe you had just given birth if I hadn't seen pictures of that sweet girl!
Ummm...really....you look THAT GORGEOUS 6 hours after birthing a baby?!?!? Honestly, how does your hair look that good??:)
Congrats on your newest addtion. Can't wait to hear the whole story of Penelope's arrival!
