This is much easier than writing...
Sorry that I've been absent, but some big changes have been going on. We've experienced some sad losses, and we are adjusting to some exciting news- as Miles and I share in the video. I've been in the pits physically- yacking my brains out on a daily basis, more fatigued than the slothiest sloth on the block, and more moody than a Judy Blume book- but like I said, this is very exciting. (BTW, we are entering week ten in a matter of days.)
With all of the excitement, there has been more sadness, too...
My grandfather passed away a few weeks ago. He was my last surviving grandparent, and the he was the only one to have a relationship with Miles, but what a relationship it was. Granddad Weigel was always loving and supportive, a true blue member of Team Miles. Though they only had a few visits together, those times were magical. Goodbye Old Man Weigel. We will always love you.
My great aunt Martha passed away a few days ago. This is also very sad because she became more like a grandmother to me after my own grandmother (her sister) passed away several years ago. Aunt Martha, too, to an instant liking to Miles, and she closely followed his progress. Losing two close relatives in such a short span of time is hitting me hard. Martha, we will miss you greatly.
